With the deadline for 2019 CLE credits fast approaching, the Wake Forest University School of Law Office of Alumni Engagement is happy to announce the offering of a four-hour CLE class on campus on Friday, February 21 from 1:00-5:30pm. Registration/check in will begin at 12:45pm.
We will be hosting a 4 hour CLE course entitled "Sports, Life and Death" (3 hours general credits and 1 hour Ethics credit). Spend an afternoon exploring an exciting, eclectic combination of collegiate athletics, cemetery law, Shakespeare, and income/estate planning. You'll have an opportunity to catch up on your 2019 CLE requirements or get an early start for 2020.
Here is a list of the courses: "Tax and Gift Planning" "The Evolving Student-Athlete and University Relationship" "Unearthing the Law of Decedent Control of Their Remains" "The Merchant of Venice and Questions of Legal Ethics"
We'll also provide refreshments during the breaks, with an opportunity to catch up with old friends and make new ones.
Sessions will be held in classroom 1101 in Worrell Professional Center. We have a maximum capacity of 60, so please register early as the program will fill quickly.
The entire afternoon will provide you with a fun, interesting way to get 1 hour of ethics credit and 3 hours of general credit. The cost is $20/person which includes NC Bar fees and refreshments. We will submit your attendance and payment to the NC Bar after the CLE takes place.
