We will work with Food for Others (https://foodforothers.org/volunteer) to collect food supplies and assemble Power Pack weekend meal kits for school aged children in Fairfax County.
The meal kit assembly location will be at Providence Presbyterian Church on Little River Turnpike, Fairfax, VA 22031
Alumni will have multiple options to participate: 1) collect and drop off food supplies from a designated shopping list, 2) come to the designated location to work 2 hour shift assembling food kits, 3) make it a family event and enlist kids/grandkids to assemble kits—either at their homes or designated location—and drop off at Food for Others or our assembly spot. 4) lastly WFU alumni can send donations to purchase supplies for the kit assembly project. Sponsoring 6 weekend meals for 1 child costs $14.00. Why not round up to $30 or $50 to sponsor multiple students? Donation link for Food for Others is https://foodforothers.salsalabs.org
